Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Field Human Resources Manager to support three hospitals across Tacoma and the Seattle Metropolitan area. This full-time role requires in-person work with monthly travel to AMCS and CBEAM sites and flexibility to support 24/7 operations.

You will partner with hospital leadership to align HR programs with goals, handle employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and engagement initiatives, and help cultivate a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressive HR experience; healthcare setting preferred
• Bachelor's degree; PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to travel within the Tacoma/Seattle Metropolitan area

Responsibilities

• Liaise between staff and management; advise on policies, practices and regulations; provide guidance on employee relations issues
• Ensure compliance with employment laws including I-9 verification, ADA accommodations, and FMLA/FAMLI leave administration
• Serve as local point of contact for leave-related questions; partner with COE for timely communication and documentation
• Oversee onboarding; conduct new employee orientation; provide ongoing training and development opportunities
• Collaborate with Hospital Director and management to develop HR programs, procedures, and guidelines
• Partner with Hospital Leadership to implement employee engagement activities and culture initiatives
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
