Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide direct HR support to field hospital locations across the DFW area, partnering with hospital leadership on employee relations, HR escalations, and compliance while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations.

This in-person role requires travel among multiple sites, with responsibilities including onboarding, policy updates, leave administration, and ensuring HR practices meet legal standards

Qualifications

• Proven work experience of 2+ years as a Field HR Generalist or similar role.
• Good knowledge of federal, state, and local labor regulations.
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems and HR systems preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to build strong relationship-building skills with clients and partners.
• Education or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support staff and managers on day-to-day HR issues including employee relations and investigations.
• Conduct investigations, ensure consistent policy application.
• Communicate hospital policies and update handbooks.
• Ensure HR operations adhere to legal standards and manage leave of absences.
• Lead onboarding procedures and align with company culture.
• Coach and collaborate with Supervisors and Leads during regular check-ins.
• Develop HR special projects with guidance from Hospital Leadership and ETHOS HRBP.
