Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support three emergency and specialty hospitals across Mission, Overland Park, and Wichita. This on-site role partners with hospital leaders and 225 team members to shape workplace culture, compliance, and HR practices.

You will collaborate with the People Team to drive employee engagement, onboarding, performance management, and wage analysis while supporting recruiting efforts and hospital initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of HR experience
• Willingness to travel between Kansas locations and occasional U.S. travel
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business/Human Resources
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and HR systems

Responsibilities

• Partner with Hospital Leadership and the People Team to strengthen employee engagement and culture
• Serve as an HR resource for employees and leaders on relations, policy interpretation, and day-to-day HR matters
• Conduct workplace investigations and support disciplinary actions
• Maintain compliance with employment laws and hospital policies
• Communicate policies and updates to staff and leaders
• Collaborate with HRCenters of Excellence on Leave of Absence, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Total Rewards, and Learning & Development
• Lead performance management, onboarding, and offboarding processes
• Collaborate on labor management and wage analysis
• Identify and provide educational opportunities for leaders
• Support staff and managers on day-to-day issues
• Assist recruiting across hospitals
• Work with the NVA People Team on organizational initiatives
• Develop presentations and HR communications
