Job summary

Milender White, a Graham Group Company, seeks a Human Resources Manager to serve as the embedded, front-line people partner for the Milender White businesses. Based in Orange County, this hands-on role supports operations across Denver, Newport Beach, and San Diego, coaching managers, resolving employee relations matters, and ensuring policy compliance in two states.

The HR Manager will lead one HR Generalist, align with the VP, People, and drive performance cycles, onboarding, and reporting

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive HR generalist or HR business partner experience with employee relations ownership.
• Experience supervising or mentoring at least one HR team member is preferred.
• Working knowledge of California and Colorado employment law in a multi-state environment.
• Experience supporting a distributed, field-based workforce in construction, engineering, or project-based industries is preferred.
• Proficiency with an enterprise HRIS and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first-line HR partner for leaders, managers, and employees in assigned business units.
• Coach managers on performance, difficult conversations, team dynamics, and development.
• Lead employee relations investigations with thorough documentation.
• Administer leaves and accommodations in partnership with HR and external resources.
• Implement and adapt enterprise people programs (onboarding, compensation planning, development) for field teams.
• Supervise and develop one HR Generalist, ensuring consistent service across markets.
• Ensure day-to-day HR delivery and policy adherence across Denver, Newport Beach, and San Diego.
