Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health is seeking an on-site Human Resources Manager to act as the primary People Team partner across three Virginia hospitals. The role manages onboarding, employee relations, performance reviews, compliance, and HR programs in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in HR, strong knowledge of employment laws, and the ability to influence leaders while balancing employee advocacy with business needs. Travel between hospitals is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations investigations.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance.
• Experience supporting onboarding, leave administration, performance management, and HR programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site HR partner to leadership and staff, advising on employee relations and policy interpretation.
• Partner with hospital leaders on performance management, coaching, and organizational changes.
• Leverage data to generate HR insights and improve engagement and retention.
• Lead full lifecycle HR processes for the sites: recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and engagement initiatives.
• Guide merit, promotions, reclassifications, and compensation changes with best practices.
