Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking Construction Inspectors in Pennsylvania for highway and bridge construction projects working with PennDOT Districts and the PA Turnpike Commission. positions require 1–4 years of inspection experience and relevant NICET/PE credentials.

Field locations include Lehigh Valley, Northeastern PA, and Philadelphia regions with offices in Douglassville, Harrisburg and Philadelphia. A BS in Civil Engineering/Construction Management is a plus and travel to site locations is

Qualifications

• 1–4+ years of highway/bridge inspection experience with NICET I/II preferred
• Active PE license may substitute NICET
• Certifications in asphalt, concrete, stormwater, traffic control, safety are desirable
• Experience reviewing contractor procedures and documenting materials testing
• Knowledge of PennDOT/PA Turnpike specs, standards, and methods
• Ability to calculate quantities and prepare inspection reports

Responsibilities

• Review contractor procedures, materials and work for conformance with plans and specs
• Witness and document materials testing and certification processes
• Prepare written inspection reports with quantities and calculations
• Maintain records in PennDOT and PA Turnpike documentation systems
• Assist in tracking project status and support payments/change orders
• Communicate effectively with clients and project teams
