Job summary

Hometree is seeking a skilled Heat Pump Installer to join our field-based team in North Shields. The role involves installing and maintaining air and ground source heat pumps, with a strong background in plumbing/heating and underfloor heating. Occasional travel to project locations is required, and a full driver’s license is essential.

Working hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00–17:00. You will engage with customers, perform system testing, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified plumber, pipe fitter, or heating engineer.
• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing.
• Domestic HWSS (Unvented) Regulations Qualification.
• Experience installing unvented cylinders, radiator circuits, and underfloor heating.

Responsibilities

• Install heat pump systems following manufacturer specifications and local regulations.
• Perform maintenance services and troubleshoot issues with heat pump systems.
• Conduct tests to ensure proper system functionality and adjust settings as needed.
• Communicate with customers regarding installation, system operation, and maintenance.
• Keep accurate records of installations, service calls, and parts used.
• Adhere to safety protocols and comply with local codes and industry standards.
• Stay current with industry trends and improve skills through ongoing training.
