Job summary

Geowarmth, now part of Hometree Group, is seeking a Senior Heat Pump Engineer for leadership in installation, commissioning and maintenance of heat pump systems in domestic properties. You will mentor junior engineers, ensure high standards of quality and safety, and collaborate with project teams to deliver on time and to specification.

The role emphasizes hands‑on problem solving, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to health and safety in all projects.

Qualifications

Must have Level 2 Plumbing/Heating/Heat Pump qualification from a recognised body.
Completion of Heat Pump installation certificates from manufacturers.
G3 unvented cylinder qualification or proven experience.
WRAS qualifications for water regs compliance.
CSCS or similar health and safety qualification.

Responsibilities

Lead by example and mentor junior engineers with on‑the‑job training.
Manage and deliver complex heat pump installation projects to spec and timeline.
Oversee system installations including underfloor heating, radiators, pipework.
Conduct planned maintenance and diagnostics for efficiency and reliability.
Lead fault finding and repairs for electrical and plumbing issues.
Ensure quality, compliance and thorough documentation.
Champion safety, perform risk assessments and enforce regs.
Maintain professional client relations and clear handovers.
Coordinate with project teams to plan resources and milestones.
Foster a collaborative environment and continuous improvement.
