Job summary

Gateway Services Inc. is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to support operations across the East region.

This field-facing role partners directly with operational leaders, conducts workplace assessments and inspections, supports incident investigations, and helps identify practical preventive actions to ensure safety across sites. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Occupational Health & Safety or related field, with at least four years of safety experience in manufacturing or multi-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, Environmental Engineering or related field.
• At least four years of relevant safety experience, ideally in manufacturing, distribution or multi-site operations.
• Experience with workplace inspections, incident investigations and job-hazard analysis.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain safety requirements to leaders and frontline staff.
• Sound judgment, calm response to urgent situations and dependable follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations leaders to identify risks and provide practical safety advice.
• Conduct workplace assessments and inspections across Care Centers and sites.
• Support incident investigations and implement preventive actions.
• Assist with return-to-work plans and safety program deployment.
• Capture field data and translate into actionable safety improvements.
