Job summary

PUSH, Inc. is seeking a CDL Directional Drill Operator/Locator (HDD) to install fiber and other utilities using trenchless HDD methods. Requires HDD experience around utilities in rural and urban areas, ability to read prints/schematics, and capacity to mentor teammates.

CDL class A is required and safety training is mandatory. This field-based role emphasizes operating bore equipment, maintaining bore profiles, and coordinating with crews while complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Ability to read utility prints and schematics.
• Willingness to train and mentor other team members.

Responsibilities

• Operates Directional Bore equipment for installation of underground cable conduit or utilities.
• Ensure proper steering based on job preparations and projections.
• Operates construction equipment to align, move, and adjust machinery to conform to grade alignment specification.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide directional drilling data to customers.
• Abide safety procedures and attend mandatory safety meetings.
• Inspect and maintain all equipment, including routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Read utility locates and coordinate day lighting of facilities.
• Assist with basic labor tasks on site.
• Ensure proper setup and cleanup of the work site, including traffic and pedestrian control.
