Job summary

HICO America, headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, seeks a GIS Installation Service Manager to lead field installation and commissioning of GIS projects across North America. The role requires coordinating with engineering, project management, and service teams to ensure safe, on-time project execution.

Ideal candidates will have experience with high-voltage equipment, ability to read schematics, and substantial travel to customer sites, including air travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret AC/DC schematic drawings.
• Experience in wiring, plumbing, electrical and mechanical.
• Experience using cranes and forklifts.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to use common hand tools.
• Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary onsite technical representative for Product-Only GIS projects.
• Monitor installation progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and installation procedures.
• Identify and resolve technical, logistical, and installation-related issues that may impact project schedules or performance.
• Conduct site inspections and provide detailed progress reports to internal project teams and management.
• Support commissioning activities and collaborate with engineering, project management, and service teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
