Job summary

GeoEngineers, Inc. is seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to manage field exploration, observation of earthwork and foundation construction, and related reporting.

The role involves performing analyses like slope stability and bearing capacity to support diverse projects in the Geotechnical department. You will prepare field reports, assist with data collection, and coordinate tests while collaborating with teams across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; Master’s in Geotechnical or related field strongly preferred.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required for Staff Engineers.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for field exploration and observation of earthwork and foundation construction, on projects big and small.
• Prepare field reports and perform geotechnical analyses such as slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement, deep foundation design, and seismic evaluation.
• Assist with gathering field data and samples for related projects; coordinate samples for testing as needed.
• Provide support to geotechnical teams at other locations as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering

Master’s in Geotechnical or related field strongly preferred
