Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Field Geologist/Engineer in Columbus, OH to perform geotechnical explorations, supervise drilling and sampling, and coordinate field work with clients and the home office. The role involves travel and ensuring safety and quality on site.

Ideal candidates hold a Geology or Engineering degree with practical field experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while traveling up to 75% of the time.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2/4-year degree in Geology, Engineering, Construction, or Earth Science from an ABET-accredited program.
• If no degree, 1+ years of Geotechnical drilling or subsurface exploration experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company in the field during geotechnical explorations.
• Develop client and PSI team relationships to meet project specs.
• Prepare subsurface drilling logs and field notes.
• Coordinate field activities with home office and clients.
• Attend client site meetings and communicate project status.
