Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join our Resilience Environment team in the New Jersey/Tristate area. This role combines field and office work, with 70–90% field time and travel within the U.S. for project support.

You will work under mentorship to grow professionally while handling site characterization, investigations, and remediation activities. Successful candidates will have a BA/BS in Environmental Science or Geology (or related field), be prepared

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Environmental Science, Geology or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the field is required.
• Current OSHA HAZWOPER 40 HR / 8 HR training.

Responsibilities

• Assisting Project Managers and Task Managers in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
• Oversee drilling for soil sampling and groundwater well installation, groundwater sampling, subcontractor oversight, and remediation system operation.
• Prepare subcontracts, write technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
• Conduct fieldwork including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling with regional travel.
