Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join our Resilience Environment team in New Jersey and the Tri-state area. The role blends field and office work, with 50% to 90% of time spent in the field and strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

You will work under experienced PMs/TMs, gaining experience in site characterization, investigation, remediation, and reporting, while developing as a professional in a collaborative environment. Travel within the U.S.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally; field and office work mix.

Responsibilities

• Assist PMs and TMs in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
• Oversee drilling for soil sampling and groundwater well installation.
• Prepare subcontracts and oversee subcontractors.
• Write technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
• Conduct field sampling of soil, groundwater, and vapor; regional travel up to 1–2 days per week.
