Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Generator Mechanic/Service Technician to repair and maintain whole home standby generators, traveling to customers’ residences in the Lawton area.

You will use company vehicles, communicate clearly with customers, and apply mechanical and electrical knowledge to diagnose and fix issues. You will read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints, update service records, and follow safety practices.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently with initiative.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Experience with mechanical small engine repair and electrical wiring.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer residences using company vehicle.
• Communicate with customers regarding arrival, work performed and results.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on home generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, and procedures.
• Test and repair automatic transfer switches.
• Document services in the electronic software system.
• Adhere to safety practices and requirements.
• Other duties may be assigned.
