US Diversity Job Search in Florida is seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gas generator sets on customer sites. You will plan efficient work and travel with the Service Manager, prioritize customer needs, and ensure safe, effective operation of equipment.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, ability to read wiring diagrams, and the willingness to stay on call.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Experience with diesel and/or gas engines and electrical systems.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and install/repair electrical components.
AC/DC power generation experience is a plus.
Valid driver's license and insurability.

Responsibilities

Plan work and travel schedule with the Service Manager, prioritizing customer needs.
Diagnose malfunctions and repair/replace worn parts; install new assemblies.
Provide tools and parts and arrange on-site repair at customer premises.
Inspect, test, and verify machine operation after delivery or repair.
Document customer, machine, malfunction, and service details for billing.
Perform preventative maintenance on generator sets including fluids, belts, exhaust, etc.
Conduct load bank testing and ATS testing.
Train new servicemen or supervise teams on large repairs.
Keep service truck clean and professional appearance.
Pursue ongoing training and study technical literature.
