Job summary

Generator Supercenter in Little Rock, AR is seeking a dependable Generator Mechanic / Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service whole-home standby generators at residential sites. This full-time, Monday-Friday role includes a company-provided vehicle and needs strong mechanical and electrical repair experience with small engines or ATS systems.

Travel to local job sites, read wiring diagrams, communicate clearly with customers, document work in our service software, and follow safety

Qualifications

• 1+ years of generator service, small engine repair, or related mechanical/electrical work
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
• Comfortable working independently in the field with minimal supervision
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Physically able to perform job duties, including climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in outdoor environments
• Familiarity with residential generator systems and ATS technology is a plus

Responsibilities

• Travel to residential job sites using a company-provided service vehicle
• Perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on whole-home standby generators
• Troubleshoot and service mechanical and electrical components, including ATS systems
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Clearly communicate with customers regarding services performed and any recommendations
• Accurately document all work in our service management software
• Follow safety protocols and industry best practices when working around electricity
• Support emergency service calls during weather-related outages or storms, as needed
