Job summary
A leading generator service provider in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a dependable Generator Mechanic / Service Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in generator repair, small engine repair, or electrical troubleshooting. Responsibilities include performing diagnostics and repairs on whole-home standby generators, troubleshooting ATS systems, and providing excellent customer service. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and a company vehicle.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in generator repair, small engine repair, electrical troubleshooting, or mechanical service work.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Travel to residential job sites using a company-provided service vehicle.
- Perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs on whole-home standby generators.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, including automatic transfer switches (ATS).
