Job summary

WSB is seeking an Inspector to enforce safety, compliance, and quality across field sites. You will learn federal and local rules, maintain client relations, and document inspections using iPad, Excel, and mapping tools.

The role involves inspecting gas pipeline work, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with crews and clients in a field-based environment. Travel within territory is required and safety training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Experience: 1-3 years with construction, underground utility installation, locating, surveying, mapping, and/or design.
• Knowledge: OSHA, PHMSA, NESC, and state utility regulations preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license with clean record; AWS CPWI/V, API 1169 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety, compliance, and quality standards across all project sites.
• Learn and understand federal, local, and company compliance rules.
• Maintain strong client relations and coordinate with clients and contractors.
• Complete daily inspection reports using iPad and record data.
• Inspect gas pipeline installation and related field work.
• Monitor activities for OSHA, PHMSA, and state regulations.
• Assist onsite crews with setup and coordination with road crews.
• Document pipeline installations with notes and mappings.
