Job summary

ONE Gas is seeking a field inspector to oversee pipeline inspection, maintenance, and contractor activities in Texas. The role requires working with tools and equipment, documenting inspections, and responding to emergencies with strong safety awareness.

Ideal candidates have experience with pipeline systems, regulatory standards, and the ability to read maps and blueprints. You should be able to lift, climb, and travel as needed. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of relevant experience; minimum of one year required.
• Experience with use, function, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Experience with basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Fluent reading and writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Inspects installation, maintenance, and removal work on pipelines for compliance with standards.
• Oversees contractors in construction and maintenance of pipeline systems.
• Maintains logs and prepares reports (inspection logs, leak reports, job orders, training records).
• Investigates customer orders and emergency situations (low pressure calls, leaks, fires/explosions).
• Reviews invoices for accuracy and ensures attendance and reliability.
