Job summary

Black Hills Energy is seeking a Field Measurement Technician in Colorado to install, maintain, and calibrate meters, regulators, and related equipment at Eagle, Collbran, or Glenwood Springs. Expect field work with occasional after-hours support, driving responsibilities, and safety compliance.

Pay ranges from $32.36 to $48.41 per hour depending on knowledge and equity. Requires a high school diploma, 1 year of relevant experience, and ability to communicate clearly; opportunities include

Qualifications

• This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of (1) one year experience inspecting and testing large volume meters, regulators and instruments or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of mainframe environment, PC knowledge and applicable software is helpful.
• Ability to effectively communicate and cooperate with coworkers; writing skills are vital.

Responsibilities

• Test and calibrate large volume meters, gauges, and instruments.
• Conduct annual Town Border Station inspections.
• Conduct annual District Regulator Stations inspections.
• Witness testing of metering stations.
• Size meters, relief valves and regulators for all types of applications.
• Install or trouble-shoot telemetry with support from other field operations.
• Install and troubleshoot SCADA equipment with guidance from Gas Control.
