Job summary

SPL is seeking a Gas Measurement Technician to support field-based gas measurement operations in Greeley, CO. The role involves meter inspections, data collection, calibration, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of gas measurement equipment, with work conducted both independently and with experienced technicians.

You will follow established procedures and safety standards to ensure data is accurate and compliant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Vocational or technical training in metering, instrumentation, or process control preferred.
• Hands-on experience in gas measurement, field instrumentation, meter calibration, and/or production measurement operations.
• Experience with gas measurement systems, flow computers, EFM systems, and RTUs, including inspections, calibrations, verifications, troubleshooting and basic maintenance.
• Knowledge of natural gas measurement principles and related documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field-based gas measurement activities, including meter inspections, calibration, data collection, and routine maintenance.
• Verify meter accuracy and ensure measurement systems comply with procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Collect, record, and submit measurement data, field notes, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Assist with installation, inspection, and troubleshooting of gas measurement equipment and related instrumentation.
• Identify and report measurement discrepancies, equipment issues, or safety concerns.
