Job summary

Golden Route Operations, LLC is seeking a Gaming Service Technician to troubleshoot, service, and repair video gaming equipment at client locations around Champaign, IL. This role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to pass Illinois Gaming Board background checks, and a customer-focused approach to maintain equipment uptime.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with regional teams and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Able to pass fingerprinting and background screening per Illinois Gaming Board.
• Experience with VGT troubleshooting preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and complete equipment repairs efficiently.
• Coordinate with Compliance and Service teams to prepare equipment for deployment and service.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctions in electronic gaming devices.
• Install, inspect, and test gaming devices and related systems.
• Communicate professionally with clerks, management, and customers to resolve issues.
• Complete and maintain service documentation and device records.
• Monitor inventory levels to minimize downtime and support rapid turnaround.
