Job summary

Forklifts Group in Grove City, OH is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain forklifts, railcar movers, container handlers, and terminal tractors at customer sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a service technician role.
• Experience with hydraulics and ability to interpret schematic diagrams.
• Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance.
• Ability to work independently and to effectively prioritize demands and execute tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear and concise manner.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair breakdowns to minimize downtime and prepare on-site estimates.
• Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder to make and repair parts.
• Perform routine maintenance including inspections and part replacement.
• Inspect used parts to verify changes to factory specs.
• Discuss repair work with customers and provide field quotes.
• Close jobs using Mobile Service app and collect customer signatures.
• Provide daily status updates to dispatchers and account manager.
