Qualifikationen

• Must understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Capable of adjusting to field requirements and taking independent action without close supervision.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Due to equipment capacity, weight of employee should not exceed approximately 300 pounds.
• Must have no fear of heights.
• Must be able to travel for storm work.
• CDL required.

Aufgaben

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies, and conducts safety training.
• Discusses issues with property owners about access, power interruptions, and work scope; refers to the General Foreperson for controversial cases.
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Promotes and maintains good customer relations through effective completion of assigned work and crew conduct.
• May be delegated authority to investigate incident reports and settle minor damage claims.
• Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports on crew performance.
• Controls crew costs, including manpower, methods, and equipment use.
• Furnishes General Foreperson with reports of orders completed and crew time.
• Periodically reports on incidents, truck breakdowns, property damage, and new employee follow-up.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers and safety signs to protect employees and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools, trucks, and equipment.
