Job summary

Brown Foodservice, Inc. is seeking a Direct Sales Representative to sell food products and supplies at customer sites, maximize growth within existing accounts, and pursue new business opportunities. You will report to the area sales manager and spend most days calling on customers.

This full-time role offers a competitive base salary of $60,000–$70,000 per year, based on experience, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, STD/LTD and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Business, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality degree preferred.
• 3 years Foodservice management or sales experience (minimum 1 year outside foodservice sales or chef experience strongly preferred)

Responsibilities

• Call on existing and potential customers to identify needs and answer questions on products, pricing, availability, and training.
• Drive personal vehicle to customer locations, conventions, and meetings.
• Plan and organize schedule to call on and seek potential leads.
• Schedule deliveries and coordinate with transportation.
• Manage accounts receivable and collect payments.
• Attend trainings, meetings, and events; participate in customer activities.
• Assist with new employee training as needed.
• Review sales reports to identify areas needing attention to meet goals.
• Perform administrative duties like processing credits and filing reports.
• Develop menus and enhance customers' social media presence with value-added services.
