Job summary

Soapy Joe's Car Wash is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to lead HR across our California store locations. This hands-on leader will develop people strategies, coach field leaders, and drive retention and engagement while aligning HR with store performance.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will build a proactive HR partnership model, oversee HR operations, payroll, compliance, and employee relations, and create pipelines for leadership and talent development to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• SPHR/SHRM-SCP or equivalent certification preferred.
• 8+ years in the HR field with progressive leadership experience.
• Experience in multi-unit retail and field-based leadership development.
• Proven ability to build HR partnerships and align with operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a lean HR team across multiple stores; establish clear expectations and a culture of collaboration.
• redefine and strengthen the HRBP model to deliver proactive field support.
• Partner with operations leadership to understand staffing needs and drive solutions.
• Translate organizational priorities into actionable HR initiatives with the CPO.
• Develop programs for talent attraction, retention, and career pipelines while fostering a performance-driven culture.
