Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Mechanic to deploy across multiple active project environments to inspect, diagnose, overhaul, and repair heavy haul vehicles, commercial ready-mix fleets, and heavy earth-moving support equipment. The role requires outdoor work, lifting up to 100 pounds, and long hours in varied weather.

You will report to the regional Maintenance Manager and coordinate daily site truck issues with the Driver Lead, ensuring safety and compliance with FMCSA records and maintenance sheets.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience directly related to the duties or mechanics school graduate.
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds unassisted.
• Requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
• Must be able to stand for long periods on varied surfaces.
• Must be able to move freely, including the ability to stoop, crawl, and bend at the knees and waist.

Responsibilities

• Ensures delivery trucks operate reliably, preventing breakdowns that delay client placements.
• Travels between plant installations and delivery zones to provide regular fleet PMs and emergency field support.
• Troubleshoots drum rotation gear drives, water pumps, and hydraulic lines on heavy haul and ready-mix trucks.
• Maintains safety standards and EPA-compliant fluid containment.
• Performs engine, brake, and chassis work with proper jacks and blocking.
