Job summary

Moss is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to keep construction equipment and vehicles in job-ready condition across multiple sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, address service calls, and coordinate with the Equipment Manager and vendors to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate holds an Associates Degree in Heavy Equipment, has 5 years in the construction industry, and can travel to various sites (FL, GA, AR).

Qualifications

  • Minimum Associates Degree in a Heavy Equipment Program.
  • Minimum 5 years construction industry experience.
  • DOT medical certification required; CDL preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and braking systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Diesel engine knowledge and diagnostic ability.
  • Certifications or training in safety, brakes, engine, transmissions, suspension.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites (FL, GA and/or AR).
  • Ability to work outdoors and independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular preventative maintenance on construction equipment.
  • Respond to service calls and perform repairs with Equipment Manager guidance.
  • Troubleshoot service issues and coordinate with vendors.
  • Complete electronic work orders and ensure equipment is jobsite ready.
  • Work safely to protect self and others per Moss guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
