Job summary

Moss seeks a Fleet Equipment Mechanic to ensure equipment and vehicles stay in job-ready condition. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on construction assets and coordinate with the Fleet Equipment Manager. Welding and hydraulic system expertise are essential.

This role requires travel to various sites, including on-call responses and safety-focused operations. CDL and DOT considerations may apply, with a strong emphasis on safe, efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Heavy Equipment or equivalent technical education.
DOT physical; CDL preferred but not required.
Proven welding and diagnostics experience in heavy equipment.
Knowledge of hydraulic and braking systems applicable to fleet gear.
Experience with diesel engines and electrical troubleshooting.
Solid computer literacy for maintenance software and records.
Commitment to safety and compliance with Moss guidelines.

Responsibilities

Perform regular routine preventative maintenance service on Construction Equipment
Respond to service call requests immediately and perform repairs or maintenance as coordinated with the Equipment Manager
Troubleshoot service issues with Equipment Manager and coordinate with vendors
Complete work orders and use maintenance software to ensure safe, operable equipment
Welding and burning must be performed as required
Update electronic work orders daily
Work safely to protect self, crew, equipment and property per Moss guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned
