Job summary

Asplundh is seeking a Fleet Preventative Maintenance Technician to support safe, reliable operations by performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and routine service on a variety of vehicles and equipment.

This field-based role requires hands-on mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently across dispersed locations, with potential for night or weekend shifts based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Two years of mechanic experience with preventative maintenance scheduling.
• Knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and repair best practices.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.
• ASE certification and hydraulic equipment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance activities on fleet vehicles and equipment across assigned locations.
• Inspect, diagnose, clean, lubricate, and service equipment while identifying potential mechanical or operational concerns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work logs, inspections, and inventory documentation using approved systems and processes.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders to schedule maintenance activities and support efficient fleet operations.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering parts, supplies, and maintenance materials as needed.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company policies, environmental standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide recommendations and guidance regarding preventative maintenance practices to support equipment reliability and performance.
