Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Project Manager to lead fire alarm, security, and sprinkler installation projects in commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities. You will oversee design, permits, materials, labor, and field installation, creating a comprehensive plan to meet schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities include WIP meetings, adherence to codes, client interactions, and driving margin improvement. Travel up to 30% and collaboration with Sales are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or equivalent field.
• Five years fire protection, construction, alarm/detection, or related project management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand complex building architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents.
• Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage fire alarm, security, communications, and sprinkler installation projects in commercial, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities.
• Develop comprehensive project plans to meet schedules and budgets; oversee design, permits, material delivery and field installation.
• Coordinate Work in Progress meetings; ensure codes and specifications are followed; manage change orders and margins.
• Communicate progress to stakeholders and ensure customer satisfaction; collaborate with Sales to drive client relationships.
