Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Field Project Manager for the Fire division to lead projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and profitability. You will coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams while monitoring budgets and change orders.

A strong emphasis on communication and problem-solving will drive success in a dynamic environment. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of project management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Fire Protection, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of project management/coordination in commercial construction, fire alarm, security or life safety projects.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, resources, and customer relationships.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned Fire projects from initiation through closeout, managing scope, schedule, budget and quality.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and manage risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate project execution with customers, subcontractors, internal departments and sales partners.
• Monitor financial performance including budgets, costs, forecasts and margins.
• Conduct project review meetings and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety requirements, and project documents.
• Manage procurement and delivery of equipment and materials for installation schedules.
• Support project documentation, invoicing and closeout activities.
• Build positive customer relationships and act as trusted contact throughout the project.
