Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Alarm and Life Safety Project Manager in Louisville to lead installation, testing, and turnover of fire alarm systems across automotive and industrial sites. You will coordinate with electrical contractors, AHJs, and customers to ensure scope, schedule, and quality are met.

The role requires on-site execution, strong documentation, and ongoing NFPA 72 compliance, with travel to multiple sites and NICET certification progression planned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites across states and pass background check.
• Ability to obtain NICET Fire Alarm Systems Level 1 within 12–18 months.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and local amendments.
• Experience with fire alarm systems, low-voltage wiring, and on-site installation.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, inspect, and program fire alarm systems and related life-safety equipment.
• Coordinate with AHJ, electrical contractors, inspectors, and customers to keep work on schedule.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design through turnover.
• Maintain detailed project logs, reports, and turnover documentation.
• Travel to automotive and industrial sites to support field work and installation.
