Job summary

Metronet in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Fiber Technician to install and troubleshoot fiber services from the terminal to customer equipment. You will educate customers on products, explain service benefits, and work to achieve performance metrics while delivering professional service.

The role requires a high school diploma, physical fitness for field work, and a valid driver’s license; travel may be required. A company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with a telecom/fiber company preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in various spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot fiber from terminal to CPE.
• Educate customers on Metronet products and services.
• Earn commissions by explaining services to customers.
• Maintain professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Work toward meeting KPI targets.
• Perform other duties as required.
