Job summary

Metronet in Kokomo, IN is hiring a Fiber Technician to install and troubleshoot fiber services from the terminal to Customer Premise Equipment.

You will educate customers on Metronet products, perform installations and service changes, and work to meet performance metrics; on-call and overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with a telecom / fiber company preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs including ladder.
• Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot Metronet services from the terminal to Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
• Provide in-depth customer education on Metronet products and services.
• Earn commissions by explaining Metronet services and products to customers.
• Be professional with customers and fellow associates.
• Work toward meeting key performance metrics.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
