Job summary

Forged Fiber seeks an advanced-level technician to install, repair, and test fiber services for homes and small businesses. You will communicate clearly with customers, explain installation steps, and enable networks on modems/routers.

No prior experience required, but willingness to work outdoors and some customer service is preferred. Must have a valid state driver’s license and be able to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors and safely on ladders, poles and varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-home installation and service work for consumer and small business customers (ONT, gateways, drops, etc.).
• Conduct testing, turn-up, and maintenance of outside/inside plant and equipment.
• Interact with customers professionally and explain installation or repair steps.
• Read service orders and diagrams to install or repair fiber equipment.
• Install, repair, and reconnect drops and cables as needed for service delivery.
