Job summary

Project Resources Group, Inc. is seeking an outside plant expert to join as a route-based Construction Coordinator.

You’ll be the on-the-ground eyes and ears for fiber networks, monitoring 811 tickets, managing a route, responding to outages, and preventing small issues from becoming big ones. In this field role, you’ll log route changes, verify work quality under the SOW, and communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and homeowners.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance meeting state requirements.
• Dependability—on time, reliable, and able to complete tasks.
• Sharp attention to detail when reviewing tickets, maps, and prints.
• Able to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to walk, bend, sit, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft tools for reporting and communication.
• Knowledge of underground utilities and local dig laws is a plus.
• Strong fiber engineering fundamentals and customer service instincts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily routes; drive assigned fiber route with significant windshield time.
• Monitor routes for at-risk conditions and respond to outages as needed.
• Review 811 tickets, maps, and prints to anticipate digging and construction activity.
• Provide first-level issue mitigation before escalation.
• Log changes in infrastructure along the route and report on field activities.
• Verify quality and accuracy of work performed under the SOW.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
