Job summary

Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking a route-based Construction Coordinator to oversee fiber network routes in the Ogden area. You’ll be the field eyes and ears, monitoring 811 tickets, reviewing maps, and responding to outages.

This role requires extensive driving, outdoor work in all weather, and strong problem-solving skills to prevent issues before they escalate. Ideal candidates will have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and comfort with Microsoft reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and current driver's license.
• Reliable personal vehicle suitable for representing the company and auto insurance meeting requirements.
• Dependability and punctuality are essential.
• Attention to detail when reviewing tickets, maps, and prints.
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to walk, bend, sit, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient with Microsoft tools for reporting and communication.
• Knowledge of underground utilities and dig laws is a plus.
• Strong fiber engineering understanding and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily routes and assignments.
• Drive an assigned fiber route with significant windshield time.
• Monitor existing fiber routes and watch for risks to the line.
• Review 811 locate tickets, maps, and prints to anticipate digging activity.
• Provide first-level support and mitigate potential issues.
• Log changes in infrastructure or conditions along the route.
• Verify quality and adherence of fieldwork under the SOW.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
