Job summary

Project Resources Group in New Orleans is seeking a route-based Construction Coordinator to be the eyes and ears on the ground for clients' fiber networks, monitoring 811 tickets and outages while driving an assigned route.

This field role requires independence, reliability, and strong communication as you visit routes, review maps, and mitigate issues before they escalate.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for company duties.
• Dependability and punctuality.
• Attention to detail reviewing tickets, maps, and prints.
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to walk, bend, sit, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft tools for reporting and communication.
• Knowledge of underground utilities and local dig laws is a plus.
• Strong understanding of fiber engineering fundamentals.
• Customer service mindset and clear communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily assignments and plan your route.
• Drive assigned fiber route with substantial windshield time.
• Visit and monitor existing fiber routes, watching for risks.
• Review 811 locate tickets, maps, and prints to stay ahead.
• Provide first-level support to mitigate potential failures.
• Log and elevate changes in infrastructure along the route.
• Respond to network outages as necessary.
• Report to field supervision for quality and adherence to SOW.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
