Job summary

Project Resources Group, Inc. (PRG) seeks an outside plant expert as a route-based Construction Coordinator in Nashville, TN. You’ll be the on-ground eyes for fiber networks, monitoring 811 tickets, planning routes, and responding to outages.

This field role keeps you outdoors and behind the wheel, with daily windshield time and a focus on safe, quality work. Pay is $33-$37/hour, plus benefits and an annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance as required by state/federal law.
• Dependability to show up on time and get the job done.
• Sharp attention to detail when reviewing tickets, maps, and prints.
• Comfort working independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical readiness to walk, bend, sit, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft tools for reporting.
• Knowledge of underground utilities and dig laws is a plus.
• Strong understanding of fiber engineering fundamentals.
• Customer service instincts to interpret and deliver client needs.
• Sharp organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Clear written and verbal communication with different audiences.
• Rain-or-shine mindset; work continues regardless of weather.

Responsibilities

• Drive an assigned fiber route on a recurring basis with substantial windshield time.
• Visit and monitor existing fiber routes and assess risks to the line.
• Review 811 locate tickets, maps, and prints to stay ahead of digging/construction activity.
• Provide first-level support and mitigate potential failure points; respond to outages.
• Log and elevate changes in infrastructure or conditions along the route.
• Report to the field to verify quality and adherence to the SOW.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
