Job summary
Catapult Federal Services in Chandler, AZ is seeking a skilled Fiber Optics Technician to support instrumentation and controls on industrial and commercial construction projects. The role covers setup, configuration, testing, and commissioning of field devices, PLC/HMI systems, and related control equipment.
You will review plans, connect and calibrate instruments, perform electrical terminations, and troubleshoot during start-up.
Qualifications
- Hands-on instrumentation setup, configuration, and calibration in field environments.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
- Experience with electrical terminations and point-to-point testing.
- Basic PLC and HMI programming experience.
- Willingness to support after-hours service.
Responsibilities
- Learn site processes and review plans to meet objectives.
- Connect instruments and verify proper field operation.
- Set up instrumentation, calibrate, and document procedures.
- Perform basic PLC and HMI programming as required.
- Terminations, testing, start-up verification, and troubleshooting.
- Provide after-hours service and support as needed.
- Contribute to submittals, drawings and spec reviews.
