Job summary

Catapult Federal Services seeks an experienced Controls Technician to support a large-scale data center project in Litchfield Park, AZ. You will handle instrumentation installation, calibration, and wiring, reading schematics and BIM models, and assist with commissioning and startup activities.

The role requires at least 4 years in low-voltage construction and 1 year in controls, with the ability to work independently in an active construction site. Travel is not expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of low-voltage construction experience.
• Minimum 1 year of Controls Technician experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with RS-485 / Modbus communications.
• Ability to work independently on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Terminate control wiring on terminal blocks.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BIM models.
• Install and terminate wiring for control panels, field devices, and instrumentation.
• Install wiring in existing conduit and cable tray systems.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation, I/O systems, and control circuits.
• Calibrate sensors, transmitters, flow switches, and devices.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Support PLC system testing and commissioning with engineers.
