Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a Splicer on the construction team to wire fiber optic and copper cables in outdoor and indoor settings. You will read, create, and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams, manage outside plant activities, and support project timelines with a focus on crew safety.

The role requires travel up to 50% of the year, weekend/holiday work, and overtime as needed. You will maintain records, perform quality splices, and ensure compliance with DOT and industry safety

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain CDL post-hire.
• Travel up to 50% of the year.
• Work outdoors and indoors in all weather.
• Safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Splice cables using hand tools, epoxy, or mechanical equipment.
• Splice fiber optic and copper cables and construct proper splice cases.
• Interpret staking sheets and blueprints.
• Adhere to safety procedures and industry standards.
• Prepare engineering field notes and update drawings.
• Maintain daily records and material inventory.
• Support project timelines and on-site safety meetings.
• Measure signal strength at poles using test equipment.
• Inspect/test lines and locate faults or malfunctions.
• Perform routine maintenance and on-site paperwork.
