Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Facilities Operations & Maintenance Inspector to monitor construction and maintenance work at MSFC-related facilities, ensuring conformance with contract drawings, specs, and NASA standards.

You will document daily progress and verify schedules on site in Huntsville, AL. The role requires US citizenship and ability to pass a federal background check and drug screen; a HS diploma is required with 3+ years of inspection experience, plus

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Construction Management degree is a plus.
• 3+ years of applicable inspection experience on construction projects preferred.
• HVAC journeyman and/or electrical journeyman experience valued.
• US Citizenship and ability to pass federal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and surveil construction, operations, maintenance, and repair activities for conformance with contract drawings, specs, and NASA MSFC standards.
• Review construction submittals for accuracy and monitor them via Procore.
• Review and evaluate contractor requests for progress payments.
• Provide daily inspection reports summarizing progress and schedule status.
• Generate site inspection reports and keep them current.
• Maintain organized files for correspondence, meetings, payments, schedules, and punch lists.
• Monitor RFIs and contract documents to ensure continuity.
• Participate in pre-final and final inspections and verify punch-list closure before final payment.
• Review as-built drawings for discrepancies and address corrections.
• Assist in review of O&M manuals and provide comments as needed.
