Job summary

Avetix Engineering is seeking a field evaluation engineer to perform on-site assessments of electrical equipment in California. You will work autonomously at customer sites and report to the head of field evaluation.

Responsibilities include evaluating switchboards and panels against UL 891, NFPA 79, and UL 508A, producing clean reports, resolving on-site non-conformities, and expanding the customer base through territory development. Frequent travel and some nights/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of UL 891 (switchboards) required.
• Familiarity with NFPA 79 (industrial machinery) and UL 508A (industrial control panels).
• Background in field evaluation, AHJ, panel shop or electrical inspection.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required by field schedules.
• High levels of travel, including out-of-state travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site field evaluations of switchboards, industrial control panels and industrial machinery.
• Assess equipment against applicable standards and produce clear, defensible evaluation reports.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers on site, resolving non-conformities and advising on corrective action.
• Develop new business within your territory and maintain relationships with existing accounts.
