Job summary

SGS is seeking a Field Evaluation professional to conduct safety evaluations and testing on equipment in field and laboratory settings. This role requires delivering clear field reports and coordinating travel to client sites across the US.

The candidate should have an associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical or a technical degree with relevant experience, plus familiarity with NEC, UL, NFPA, SEMI S2, and related safety standards. Willingness to travel is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electrical/Mechanical or technical degree with relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of NEC, UL, NFPA and SEMI S2 safety standards desired; knowledge of European machinery directives is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within and outside the US up to 50–75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Safety Evaluations and Testing of Equipment in field installation settings; manage, execute, and report on projects.
• Deliver field evaluation reports and documentation within defined time frames and communicate results to customers.
• Review pre-evaluation documents and respond to non-compliance letters as needed.
