Job summary

NOLS Evacuation Coordinator position based in Lander, WY supports field courses at the Rocky Mountain River Base and Three Peaks Ranch. You will coordinate evacuations, provide field support, and work with instructors and students to ensure safety and effective response.

Responsibilities include on-call evacuation management, risk‑management coaching, expense reporting, and system improvements in collaboration with the Evacuation Manager. Active NOLS field instructor required.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating evacuations or field operations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure during evacuations.
• Active NOLS field instructor status.

Responsibilities

• Carry the evacuation phone 24/7 for 3–5 days and nights.
• Coordinate all aspects of in-field support and evacuations for instructors and students.
• Coach field staff on risk management documentation and decision making.
• Calculate evacuation expenses and submit reports to finance.
• Train field and program staff on evacuation protocols and paperwork.
• Collaborate with the Evacuation Manager to build vision and systems.
• Must be an active NOLS field instructor.
