Southwest ToyotaLift is seeking a Field Technician in Las Vegas, NV. The role focuses on exceptional customer service while conducting mechanical repairs and servicing to customer equipment.

The position involves frequent travel to customer sites and representing the company values to ensure equipment is serviced to standard. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs on forklifts powered by gasoline, LPG, electric, or diesel engines, and completing work orders

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Three to five years forklift/material handling technician experience.
  • Excellent driving record (as shown on DMV report).
  • Ability to drive company vehicle to customer sites and communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate professionally with customers in-house and in the field; build strong relationships.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide clear job recommendations/descriptions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of parts and determine if replacements/repairs are needed.
  • Repair gasoline, LPG, electric or diesel-powered forklifts.
  • Perform maintenance including lubrication, brakes, wheel alignment and related tasks.
  • Operate and maintain equipment; complete related paperwork and open/close work orders accurately.

Job Details: Job Location: Las Vegas - Las Vegas, NV, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $28.00 - $37.00Hourly, SUMMARY

The Field Technician is responsible for demonstrating exceptional customer service while conducting mechanical repairs and/or service to internal and external customers equipment. The position is primarily responsible for traveling to customer sites, representing the companys values and ensuring that their equipment is serviced to the standards of Southwest ToyotaLift

The following responsibilities are a general guideline and not intended to be an exhaustive list of the full scope of responsibilities.

Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs and at managements discretion.

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to professionally communicate with customers both in-house and in the field; and build strong relationships
  • Capability to trouble shoot mechanical issues and write clear job recommendations and descriptions
  • Demonstrate knowledge of parts and the ability to determine if parts are needing to be replaced or repaired
  • Repair gasoline, LPG, electric or diesel-powered forklifts
  • Make repairs as needed including replacing worn or broken parts, adjusting brakes, tightening body bolts, aligning wheels, etc.
  • Lubricate vehicle and perform other duties in connection with maintenance and operation of lift truck as required
  • Perform manual labor such as heavy lifting and operation of power equipment
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and elevate issues as needed
  • Complete paperwork, as needed, to open work orders / close work orders accurately and in a timely manner to ensure appropriate processing and billing
  • Keep van clean. Report any vehicle problems to your supervisor.
  • Practice safe work habits
Qualifications: Qualifications
  • High school graduate

  • Customer service attitude and aptitude
  • Expected to attend technical classes when offered by management
  • Appearance must be neat and professional
Physical Requirements
  • Must be physically able to repetitively stoop, bend, push, pull, squat, climb, and kneel on a regular basis
  • Must be able to physically operate power machinery, use hand tools, use air compressor tools, band saw and department grinder, steam cleaner and parts washer machines,
  • Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds unaided
  • Must be physically able to operate / drive a company
